DeKalb, Ill. – The Miami University men's golf team made a late surge at the Rich Harvest Farms Collegiate to finish in a tie for eighth place overall. The RedHawks shot a 284 on the day, bringing their overall total to 862 on the weekend.
Scott Bitar led the way firing a three under par 69, in a round that included four birdies.
Jack Mortell also finished under par for the second time in the event, carding a 70 which also featured four birdies. Throughout the course of the event every RedHawk recorded at least one score of even par or better.
How it Happened:
- Scott Bitar led the way for the RedHawks with his score of 69. Overall, he shot (78-80-69—227).
- Jack Mortell, the top RedHawk perfomer in the RHC, finished under par for the second time. Overall he carded (71-74-70—215).
- Jack Herceg continued his strong play, carding his third consectutive even par round. Overall he finished (72-72-72—216).
- Rounding things out for the RedHawks were Jack Ebner (74-71-73—218), Danny Fisher (74-70-75—219) and individual Egor Zotov (72-79-79—230).
