DEKALB, Ill. – Even with a spark in the second half, the Miami University women's soccer team (7-7-3; 4-5-0 MAC) lost 2-1 against Northern Illinois University (5-10-2; 2-5-2 MAC) at the NIU Soccer Complex on Thursday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the first half, Northern Illinois scored at the 17-minute mark, making it a deficit of 1-0 for Miami.
- In the beginning of the second half, NIU scored again to extend their lead to 2-0.
- Six minutes later, the RedHawks cut the lead back to a one score game, 2-1.
- Though the RedHawks continued shooting till the last minute, Miami couldn't capitalize on their opportunities in the second half. Finalizing the game, 2-1.
Notes:
- The RedHawks outshot the Huskies 21-5 on Thursday night.
