After a weekend off, the Miami RedHawks get back in action with a non-conference series at Michigan State University Friday and Saturday. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. each night. The games will be available on
BTN+ (subscription required), as well as WKBV 1490 AM (Richmond, Ind.) and TuneIn Premium.
Both teams enter the series 1-1 on the year, as Miami split a pair of games at Ferris State while Michigan State took one out of two from Air Force at home last week.
The RedHawks and Spartans share plenty of history as former conference rivals; both Miami and MSU were part of the CCHA from 1981-2013. The two programs haven't met since the 2013 season, when Miami eliminated Michigan State from the CCHA tournament. MSU leads the all-time series 69-34-6, but Miami is 8-1-1 in the past 10 games between the schools. This will be MU's first trip to East Lansing since January 2012.
Miami head coach
Chris Bergeron and junior forward
Ryan Savage met with the media this week to preview the series at Michigan State.
