The Miami University softball team has announced its 2021 schedule, which begins on Feb. 13. Miami's schedule is highlighted by trips to Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, Georgia and Louisville, combined with 23 home games and 40 Mid-American Conference contests.
Â
"I am extremely excited to finally get on the field with this group," said head coach Kirin Kumar. "They have been waiting almost a year for outside competition. This season will be challenging in many ways, but this team, this group is ready for anything that comes their way"Â
Â
Competition begins on Feb. 13-14 at No. 20 Mississippi State for a three-game series. Out of conference trips also include contests at Georgia Tech (Feb. 26), No. 14 Georgia (Feb. 27), Kennesaw State (Feb. 28) and Louisville (March 6-7). Kennesaw State won the A-Sun back in 2019.
Â
Miami opens its home and conference schedule on March 19 in a four-game series with Western Michigan.

Â
Consistent with the Mid-American Conference and their sport policies, Miami Athletics will not host general public fans for sporting events in Oxford until further notice.Â
For the spring, families and support systems of student-athletes and coaches will be permitted to attend as venue space allows. At this time, we anticipate only being able to accommodate a small number of families and support systems for the home team only. Miami and the Mid-American Conference will continue to evaluate spectator options throughout the season. All sport policies are subject to compliance with conference approved game operations protocols and must also adhere to institutional, national, state, and local health mandates and guidelines which may be more restrictive.
