TUESDAY'S GAME: Fresh off a trio of wins last week, Miami returns to the court to host MAC leader Toledo on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. The match-up pits the MAC's top two teams in 3-point field goal percentage with Toledo hitting 38.9 percent from beyond the arc and Miami knocking down 38.5 percent from long range on the season.
ABOUT TOLEDO: The Rockets enter Tuesday's game with a 13-4 overall record and an 8-1 conference mark to lead the Mid-American Conference. Marreon Jackson leads Toledo in scoring at 17.5 ppg while hitting 53 triples on the season. Ryan Rollins follows at 15.0 ppg, while Spencer Littleton averages 13.2 ppg with 57 treys on the season. Setric Millner, Jr. also averages double figures in scoring (13.0 ppg) and leads Toledo on the boards (6.8 rpg). The Rockets have won their last two: an 89-82 win against Central Michigan last Tuesday and a 76-74 win against Kent State on Saturday. Their lone MAC loss came in overtime at Akron, 95-94. In MAC games, UT leads the MAC in scoring offense (85.89 ppg), scoring margin (+13.44), field goal percentage (.489), assists (18.33) and 3-point field goals (11.33).
THE SERIES WITH THE ROCKETS: Saturday marks the 131st meeting between Miami and Toledo with MU holding a 68-62 edge in the series. The Rockets have won the last 13 meetings, including a 65-57 game in Toledo on Feb. 11 last year and a 66-63 decision on Jan. 29, 2019 in Oxford. When playing in Oxford Miami is 42-19 against the Rockets. Miami's last win in the series was in Toledo on Feb. 12, 2011, 68-66 and it's last win in Millett Hall against UT was on Feb. 10, 2010, 55-47.

GRANT TABBED MAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Sophomore guard
Dae Dae Grant averaged 21.3 ppg, while shooting a sizzling 57.9 percent from the field and a scorching 63.2 percent from 3-point range and 88.9 percent from the free-throw line as Miami rattled off three wins in five days to earn MAC Player of the Week honors. Grant set career highs for points (28), field goals (10) and triples (6) against Eastern Michigan that he set in the previous game (27 pts, 9 fg, 5 3-pt fg) against Bowling Green. Grant, who knocked down 12 treys on the week, also was named MAC Player of the Week by College Sports Madness and the Lou Henson National Player of the Week by CollegeInsider.com.
COLEMAN-LANDS RANKS 12TH NATIONALLY IN ASSIST/TURNOVER RATIO: Redshirt junior guard
Isaiah Coleman-Lands has been stingy with turnovers and currently boasts a 3.78 assist/turnover ratio with 34 assists to nine turnovers through 11 games. He leads the MAC and ranks 12th nationally in assist/turnover ratio.Â
REDHAWKS LEAD MAC IN FEWEST TURNOVERS: Averaging 10.3 turnovers per game, Miami leads the MAC in fewest turnovers and ranks 13th nationally. Miami has committed fewer turnovers than its opponent in eight of its 11 games and the same number in one game this season.Â
NOTABLE NUMBERS: There were a lot of notable numbers from last week's wins.
- It was the first time since the start of the 1997-98 season that Miami scored 80-plus points in three straight games.Â
- The RedHawks had a +17.0 margin of victory for the week.Â
- Miami shot a season-best 58.7 percent from the floor for the game and was 64.5 percent from the field in the second half vs. BGSU.
- The 96 points by Miami against BGSU were its most since a 119-52 win against Wilberforce on Dec. 30, 2019, and the most against a Division I opponent since a 100-94 double-overtime win at Central Michigan on Jan. 5, 2002.Â
- Miami's 42 first-half points at Eastern Michigan were its most in an opening half this season, while its 55 points in the second half against BGSU were its most in a half in 2020-21.
