Miami Athletics is excited to announce the inaugural RedHawks Virtual 5K and Fun Run! The RedHawks Virtual 5K and Fun Run will be held August 1-9. August kicks off pre-season training where our student-athletes participate in some of their most-demanding workouts in preparation for the upcoming season. This virtual 5K gives you the opportunity to train and to put in the miles just like our student-athletes. 
 
What is a virtual run? A virtual run can be completed at any location and any time during the open event date. You can do the race inside your home on the treadmill or you can go outside and practice safe social distancing by walking, jogging, running or even swim or rollerblade the distance on your own route. The virtual race is just 3.1 miles and also is a family-friendly event!

Registration for the RedHawks Virtual 5K will be open from July 8 until August 9 and is hosted on RunSignUp.com. Registration cost is $40 and includes an official high-performance race t-shirt, print-at-home racer's bib, ticket voucher for a 2020 Miami RedHawks home football game, and print-at-home finisher's certificate. The first 100 registrants (at the $40 level) will also receive an exclusive Love & Honor shirt from Miami Athletics. The official race swag bag will be shipped the week of August 10, 2020. 

A second registration option is available for $15, which includes a print-at-home racer's bib and finisher's certificate only. 

Additionally, we are offering a Referral Rewards Program.  If you sign up and refer five additional people who register, you will be refunded your registration fee.  Even better yet, with ten registered referrals, you will also receive a special grab-bag Adidas shirt from the Miami Athletics inventory!

All who participate are encouraged to print out the free race bib online and write the RedHawk sport team that you are running for and excited to see return. Take a picture pre/post-run and share it on social media using #RedHawks5kRun and tagging @MiamiRedHawks. Throughout the week our main social media account will be sharing different posts of our participants supporting Miami Athletics.
