Miami Sweeps MAC Reese & Jacoby Trophies ... Again!
RedHawks Claim Fifth Trophy Sweep and First Ever Back-To-Back Sweeps
Miami University swept the Mid-American Conference's Reese Trophy and Jacoby Trophy in 2025-26 for the third time in the past seven years and the fifth time in school history. This is the first time in history that a MAC program has captured both trophies in back-to-back seasons. The RedHawks won their second-straight Reese Trophy (and 27th overall) as the top men's athletic program in the MAC during the 2025-26 academic year. Miami captured its eighth Jacoby Trophy (and second in a row) as the top MAC women's program in 2025-26. The RedHawks also claimed both trophies in 2025, 2019, 1997 and 1983.

Embry Named 2026 MAC Trailblazer of the Year
Miami's Wayne Embry has been named the recipient of the 2026 Trailblazer Award which was presented last Thursday night at the MAC Honors Dinner, as part of the Conference annual Spring Meetings. The Trailblazer Award is an annual award that honors a MAC individual in any position who has demonstrated support of equal opportunities and the student-athlete experience.

Steele Signs Contract Extension Through 2033-34 Season
Miami's Director of Athletics David Sayler announced that head men's basketball coach Travis Steele has signed a contract extension that runs through the 2033-34 basketball season. In Steele's fourth year, he put together one of the most exceptional seasons in program history, as the RedHawks became just the fifth program this century (NCAA Division I) to go undefeated during regular-season play.

Football Announces Several Kick Times for 2026 Season
The Mid-American Conference announced several kick times for the 2026 football season, including six Miami University contests.
Sept. 5 - Miami at Pittsburgh, 12 p.m./12:30 p.m. (The CW)
Sept. 12 - Holy Cross at Miami, 1 p.m. (ESPN+)
Sept. 19 - Miami vs. Cincinnati, 3:30 p.m. (ESPN+)
Nov. 3 - Buffalo at Miami, 7 p.m. (ESPN2/ESPNU)
Nov. 10 - Ohio at Miami, 7 p.m. (ESPN2/ESPNU/CBS Sports)
Nov. 17 - Miami at Kent State, 7 p.m. (ESPN2/ESPNU/CBS Sports)

Miami Track & Field wrapped up their season at the NCAA East First Round. Mia Boule tied her own school record in the pole vault (4.22m) to place 17th overall. Petros Sanchez Ropero, Anton Martinez and Tom Heal competed in the 3K steeplechase, while Kate Hallie competed in the discus and Ella Garvin in the high jump.
Miami Golf announced its 2026-27 schedule.
Miami Soccer announced the addition of Layla Jakins, while Miami Hockey announced the additions of Timmy Runtso and Ryan Seelinger.
