Warden Named Academic Coordinator

OXFORD, Ohio – Ben Warden has been named an Academic Coordinator for Miami Athletics.
"Ever since I came to Miami for graduate school, I have had the privilege of meeting so many great people and constantly learning," said Warden. "The opportunity to stay here in Oxford and support student-athletes every day is something I am grateful for and will not take for granted."
Warden, who graduated from Miami University last May with a master's in sports leadership and management, spent the past two years as an Individualized Learning Specialist with Student-Athlete Academic Support Services. He was also a graduate assistant with the College of Education, Health and Society, instructing three undergraduate courses in 2025-26.
"We are excited to welcome Ben to our staff," said Ryan Swallow, Miami's Assistant AD of Student-Athlete Support Services. "His understanding of student-athletes and eagerness to support student-athletes make him a vital addition to the academic staff."
Warden has also spent time as a Youth Camp Supervisor for the City of Oxford Parks and Rec Department (2025) and earned three varsity letters as a member of the Ohio Wesleyan football team from 2019-2022. He completed his undergraduate work of OWU in 2023 in psychology.
