OXFORD, Ohio - A pair of strong pitching performances led the Miami University baseball team to a 5-1 victory over Penn State on Thursday. The RedHawks improve to 8-7, while the Nittany Lions fall to 10-5.
Junior pitcher
Jacob Webb picked up the victory out of the bullpen for Miami. The right-hander went four innings, giving up one run on one hit, allowing no walks and striking out six. Sophomore pitcher
Tyler Bosma started the ballgame and threw five scoreless innings allowing only five hits and striking out four.
Senior first baseman
Charlie Harrigan had a big day, finishing 3-for-3 with one run scored to lead the RedHawks. Miami out-hit the Nittany Lions at a 10-6 clip.
