ON TAP: Miami (11-13, 4-8 Mid-American Conference) hosts Ohio (15-7, 8-3 MAC) in this season's first installment of the 'Battle of the Bricks' for One Miami Weekend and the Love.Honor.Care game. LOVE.HONOR.CARE: Miami women's basketball holds its sixth annual Love.Honor.Care game to raise funds for Luna Cares, which benefits local cancer patients. There will also be silent auction items available for bid and opportunities to purchase apparel to support fundraising efforts. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the game go to Luna Cares.
ONE MIAMI WEEKEND: President Greg and Dr. Renate Crawford invite the Miami community to participate in One Miami Weekend. Faculty and staff will receive free admission and free parking to the Miami basketball doubleheader on February 15 and also free admission to one of the February 14-15 Miami hockey games. The community will receive free admission to both basketball games. Miami hockey plays Western Michigan Friday and Saturday evening at 7:05 p.m. Miami men's basketball plays Northern Illinois at 3:30 p.m. There will be a carnival on the concourse during women's and men's basketball.
LAST TIME OUT: Miami suffered a last-second loss in overtime at Northern Illinois after the Huskies forced overtime with less than five seconds to play in regulation.
Savannah Kluesner led all players with 28 points and 12 rebounds for her 11th double-double of the season. She added a career-high seven steals, becoming the first RedHawk since December 2012 to record seven steals in a single game.
Lauren Dickerson and
Abbey Hoff also reached double figures with 17 and 12 points, respectively. This season, Dickerson leads a trio of RedHawks averaging double figures with 16.8 points per game. Kluesner averages 15.8 points per game and
Peyton Scott averages 12.6 points per game. Kluesner lead the Miami offense in conference play with 18.6 points per game.

ABOUT OHIO: The Bobcats have a two-game lead atop of the MAC East with an 8-3 conference record. Ohio beat Kent State by a 63-57 margin last Saturday before having a bye on Wednesday. Erica Johnson led the way for Ohio in the game against Kent State with 22 points. This season, Cece Hooks leads the Bobcats offense with 17.7 points per game while Johnson leads the Ohio offense during conference play with 21.3 points per game. Hooks has elevated her game during MAC games to average 20.3 points per game. Ohio has the best scoring margin in the league, beating its opponents by an average of 6.9 points per game, but the worst rebounding margin (-5.6).
SERIES WITH THE BOBCATS: Miami leads the all-time series 57-34 and leads 30-11 in Oxford. Last season, the RedHawks won the first meeting and the Bobcats captured wins in the second and the MAC Tournament Semifinals. Ohio won in the MAC Tournament by a 74-48 margin as the Bobcats controlled the majority of the game with five scorers reaching double figures.
LOOKING AHEAD: Miami has a bye on Wednesday before traveling to Kent State next Saturday for a 1 p.m. tip. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3.
