BLUFFTON, S.C. – The Miami University golf team begins its spring season when it travels to South Carolina to compete against Michigan State. The match will take place on Sunday with both teams playing 36 holes.
Play will take place at the Berkeley Hall golf club. "It's an awesome facility. They host a high-level amateur tournament every summer," said head coach Zac Zedrick. "As far as the quality of the course goes, it's an elite level championship golf course."
Although the RedHawks do not typically compete in duel matches, they are ready for the opportunity. "It's like any other competition for us. We have to focus on us and playing our best. If we do that, we can trust that the results take care of themselves," said Zedrick.
All seven of Miami's golfers will be competing against Michigan State on Sunday. Miami's lineup will consist of senior Jack Katarincic, junior Charlie Nikitas, junior Jack Mortell, redshirt sophomore Jack Herceg and freshman Danny Fisher. Competing as individuals are senior Cam Solomon and sophomore Jack Ebner.
Round one tee times will begin at 8:30 a.m. with the second round to follow at 1:30 p.m.
