Terence Moore Interviews Darrell Hedric About Miami Career

OXFORD, Ohio – Miami Hall of Famer Darrell Hedric has seen it all during his nearly 60-year association with the athletic department. After earning three letters on the men's basketball team and graduating in 1955, he served as a graduate assistant and assistant coach for 12 seasons until taking over as the head men's basketball coach in 1970. Hedric went on to coach the Red and White for 14 seasons. He led them to 216 wins, which ranks second in school history.
Recently, famed sportswriter Terence Moore, a 1978 Miami graduate, sat down with Hedric to recap his tremendous career. This two-hour audio interview covers all sorts of topics, from Hedric's own mentors to his memories of some of Miami's star players and some of the historic upsets his team was able to achieve.
