OXFORD, Ohio – Miami senior guard Peter Suder has been invited to compete in the 2026 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, which will begin Wednesday, April 15 and last until Saturday, April 18 at Churchland High School in Portsmouth, Va.
Every year since 1953, the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament has invited 64 senior college basketball players from across the nation to compete before professional scouts. Eight teams of eight players play a 12 game tournament over 4 days, with each player hoping to reach their dreams of becoming a professional basketball player. To be one of the 64 players selected for invitation to the P.I.T. by the Player Selection Committee, players must be seniors in good academic and athletic department standing. The P.I.T. considers players from NCAA Divisions I, II and III, as well as NAIA.
Suder will play for the Portsmouth Partnership, where he will be coached by Erik Johnson, Evan Kee and Marwan Sarhan. He will play with Carson Cooper (Michigan State), Duke Miles (Vanderbilt), Ezra Ausar (USC), Rashaun Agee Texas A&M, Max Mackinnon (LSU) and Javontae Campbell (Bowling Green). The Portsmouth Partnership will play its first game on Thursday, April 16 at 6 p.m.
Suder became just the seventh player in Miami program history and the first since Michael Bramos in 2009 to be named MAC Player of the Year this past season. Suder, a two-time captain for the RedHawks, also earned All-MAC First Team honors for the second consecutive season. He concluded the 2025-26 season averaging 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 0.4 blocks.
