ATHENS, Ohio - The Miami University men's basketball concludes the regular season on the road with the second Battle of the Bricks game at Ohio. Tip time is 7 p.m. and it will air live on ESPN+.  An audio broadcast of the game will be available on the Miami Sports Network from Learfield IMG College Tunein App.

TOURNAMENT POSITIONING: Miami currently holds the ninth seed in next week's upcoming Mid-American Conference Tournament with a 7-10 record. The RedHawks could still finish with either the seventh, eighth or ninth seed. While the result against the Bobcats will effect seeding for several teams, whether Miami gets a home game will be based on the result of the game between Northern Illinois and Ball State (also Friday). If the Huskies win, the RedHawks will be the nine seed no matter what they do and will be on the road. If the Cardinals win, Miami will be either the seventh or eighth seed and be at home. The Red and White will take on either Akron, Ball State or Northern Illinois in their first round MAC Tournament game.

SIBANDE 16 AWAY FROM 1,000: With 21 points against Kent State, sophomore guard Nike Sibande now has 984 points for his career and needs only 16 points from becoming the 35th member of the Miami 1,000-point club. He would be first in school history to accomplish it in his sophomore season.

ABOUT OHIO: The Bobcats are 13-16 overall and 5-12 in the MAC. They have gone 2-2 in their last four games after ending a six-game losing streak. That includes a dominant 73-49 victory at Akron on March 2, and taking No. 19 Buffalo to the limit before falling, 82-79, in their last action on Tuesday. Ohio is led by redshirt sophomore Jason Carter. After missing most of last season due to injury, Carter has come back strong for the Bobcats, averaging 16.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. Another key player is sophomore guard Teyvion Kirk, He averages 14.5 points per game.

THE SERIES WITH BOBCATS: The Bobcats hold a 110-94 lead in the all-time series with the RedHawks. With 204 meetings, Ohio is Miami's most played opponent by far. The RedHawks have won the past two meetings. That includes a 79-59 victory in Oxford earlier this season on Feb. 9. Junior forward Bam Bowman scored a career-high 23 points and made it a double-double with 12 rebounds, while Miami held Ohio to just 35.6 percent (21-for-59) shooting in the win.

UP AHEAD: Miami will begin its MAC Tournament run in the first round on Monday as either the seventh or eighth seed at home, or the ninth seed on the road. Tip time is 7 p.m. if the game is in Oxford, and TBA if on the road. Either way it will air live on ESPN+. An audio broadcast of the game will be available on the Miami Sports Network from Learfield IMG College Tunein App.
