OXFORD, Ohio - The Miami University men's basketball team hosts Mid-American Conference leader, No. 21/23 Buffalo on Friday. Tip time is 8 p.m. and it will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network. An audio broadcast of the game will be available on the Miami Sports Network from Learfield IMG College Tunein App.

REDHAWKS AGAINST RANKED TEAMS: This is the first time a ranked team will play inside Millett Hall since 18th-ranked San Diego State came to town for the CBE Classic on Nov. 22, 2010. The last time Miami beat a ranked team in Millett was when 17th-ranked Temple visited on Nov. 30, 2000. Thanks to 20 points from Jason Grunkemeyer, Miami upset the Owls, 66-58. The last time the RedHawks beat any ranked team is when they took down No. 11/10 Boston College, 73-67, at the Rainbow Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii on Dec. 20, 2001.

SIBANDE GETTING CLOSER TO 1,000: Sophomore guard Nike Sibande scored 20 points in helping lead Miami to a win at Bowling Green on Tuesday. He now has 948 career points and is 52 points away from becoming the 35th member of the Miami 1,000-point club. He would be first in school history to accomplish it in his sophomore season.

SEASON-HIGH 3-POINTERS: RedHawks tied a season-high with 15 three-point makes against Falcons. The previous time they hit 15 was in an 85-79 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne on Dec. 8.

ABOUT BUFFALO: The Bulls are 25-3 overall and 13-2 in the MAC. They are currently ranked 21st in the latest AP Poll and 23rd in the Amway Coaches' Poll. Buffalo is coming off a run to the NCAA Tournament Second Round last season, and with nearly everyone back on a senior dominated team it has continued to win at a historic pace. The Bulls have won six in a row, including a 77-64 victory over Akron in their last game on Tuesday. Offensively, Buffalo ranks fourth in the nation in scoring at 85.4 points per game. Senior guard CJ Massinburg leads the way at 18.7 points per game, while senior guard Jeremy Harris averages 13.1 points per contest. Senior forward Nick Perkins comes off the bench to contribute 14.6 points and a team-leading 7.4 rebounds per game.

THE SERIES WITH BULLS: The RedHawks hold a 25-19 lead in the all-time series with the Bulls. Buffalo took an 88-64 win in the teams first meeting this season on Jan. 12 in Buffalo. The RedHawks kept it within four points at halftime, before the Bulls exploded for 52 points in the second half to pull away. Sophomore guard Nike Sibande led Miami with 18 points, while senior guard Darrian Ringo finished with 10 points and six assists.

UP AHEAD: The regular season home finale is up next for Miami as the RedHawks welcome Kent State to Millett Hall on Tuesday. It will be Senior Night and Darrian Ringo, Abdoulaye Harouna and Aleks Abrams will be honored in a postgame ceremony. Tip time is 7 p.m. and it will air live on either ESPN+ or ESPN3. An audio broadcast of the game will be available on the Miami Sports Network from Learfield IMG College Tunein App.
