The Miami University baseball team has it home opening series this weekend as it welcomes Oakland to McKie Field at Hayden Park. Due to impending weather, the schedule has been changed. The teams will begin the series with a doubleheader on Friday that starts at 1 p.m. It concludes with a single game on Saturday with first pitch at a TBD time.
ABOUT OAKLAND
It's been a tough start for the Golden Grizzlies as they have dropped all seven of their games in 2019. After being swept at Western Carolina to open the season, they were swept in a four game series at Morehead State last weekend. As a team Oakland has hit .258 on the season, led by senior Miles Zilinsky, who is batting .467 with four RBIs. The Golden Grizzlies have allowed 86 runs in seven games this year, for a team ERA of 11.77.

This is the first ever meetings between Miami and Oakland.

The first midweek game of the season is upon the RedHawks as they welcome Xavier to town Tuesday for a 5 p.m. start. Youngstown State then visits Oxford next weekend for a four-game set. Friday's game begins at 5 p.m. Saturday will feature a doubleheader that starts at 1 p.m. Sunday's getaway day game will also begin at 1 p.m.
