OXFORD, Ohio - Miami returns to Millett Hall as it welcomes Ball State on Tuesday. Tip time is 7 p.m and it will air live on ESPN+. An audio broadcast of the game will be available on the RedHawk IMG Sports Network Tunein App. At halftime, all student-athletes who have received a 3.0 GPA or higher in either of the past two semesters will be honored for their achievement.

IMPROVED REBOUNDING: Miami has put a renewed emphasis on rebounding in its last few Mid-American Conference games. When conference play began, the RedHawks were outrebounded in each of their first four games. They have turned it around and have outrebounded their opponents in three of their past four MAC games. That includes getting 18 more caroms then Ohio on Feb. 9 and six more than Western Michigan last Saturday. Despite the slow start, Miami now holds a positive rebounding margin of +0.2 for all of MAC play.

HAROUNA SEASON-HIGH: Redshirt senior Abdoulaye Harouna scored a season-high 17 points against Western Michigan last Saturday. He was 5-for-9 from the field, including going 4-for-5 from the three-point line. It was only one point off his career high of 18 points set on Jan. 3, 2017 against Northern Illinois.

ABOUT BALL STATE: The Cardinals are 14-11 overall and 5-7 in the MAC. They have won their past three games, including a 57-56 defensive battle against Akron in their last action on Saturday. Ball State has three players averaging in double figures. Leading the way is redshirt senior guard Tayler Persons. He averages 16.9 points per game. Redshirt junior guard K.J. Walton averages 14.3 points per game, while redshirt junior forward Tahjai Teague averages 14.0 points and a team-leading 8.0 rebounds per contest.

THE SERIES WITH CARDINALS: The RedHawks hold a 64-40 lead in the all-time series with Ball State. Miami has been dominant with a 34-12 lead in games played in Oxford. The teams met earlier this year on Jan. 22 in Muncie. Using a great defensive effort, the 'Hawks built a halftime lead and maintained it during second half to earn a 71-65 victory. Junior forward Bam Bowman led four in double figures with 16, while senior guard Darrian Ringo had 15 points and six assists.

UP AHEAD: Miami hits the road for a Saturday matinee at Akron. Tip time is 2 p.m. and it will air live on ESPN+. An audio broadcast of the game will be available on the RedHawk IMG Sports Network Tunein App.
