Crowell Announces 2020 Schedule

The schedule begins with three tournaments on the road.
OXFORD, Ohio – Miami softball head coach Clarisa Crowell announced the 2020 schedule on Thursday. The spring schedule includes 21 home games and begins with three tournaments on the road.
The RedHawks open the season with the Rosemont Tournament, Friday, Feb. 7 through Sunday, Feb. 9. Miami will play Evansville, Loyola, Western Illinois, IUPUI and Omaha, with the season opener being against Evansville on Friday, Feb. 7 at 1:30 p.m.
The Red and White next travels to Chattanooga, Tenn. For the UTC Tournament, Friday, Feb. 21 through Sunday, Feb. 23. Miami faces UNLV, Saint Francis, Southern Illinois – Edwardsville and St. Louis, in addition to the host team, Chattanooga.
Miami wraps up tournament play with THE Spring Games in Madeira Beach, Fla. the last weekend in February. The RedHawks begin with Iowa on Friday, Feb. 28 at 4 p.m. and finishes with Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday, March 1 at 11:30 a.m. Miami also faces Florida Atlantic, South Alabama and Middle Tennessee.
The RedHawks open play in Oxford with a two-day round-robin on Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8 as they host Eastern Illinois and Green Bay. Each team will play each of the others twice.
Miami travels to Indiana on Tuesday, March 10 before hosting Michigan State for a three-game series Saturday, March 14 and Sunday, March 15. The RedHawks also host Kentucky on Wednesday, March 18.
The Red and White begins conference play at home with a doubleheader against Northern Illinois on Saturday, March 21, beginning at 1 p.m.
Miami hosts Wright State for a doubleheader on Tuesday, April 28 at 5 p.m. to conclude the home schedule. The RedHawks finish the regular season on the road at Ohio on Saturday, May 2. The doubleheader against the Bobcats begins at 1 p.m.
The 2020 Mid-American Conference Tournament will take place in Akron, Ohio from Wednesday, May 6 through Saturday, May 9.
