
Golf Finishes Quail Valley Intercollegiate in Eighth

VERO BEACH, Fla. – Miami shot seven-under par in the final round, its third under par round of the Quail Valley Intercollegiate. The RedHawks finished in eighth place at 16-under par while Notre Dame won the team title.
Junior Charlie Nikitas was the top performer for Miami. Nikitas shot a one-under par 71 in the final round to finish tied for 14th at eight-under par. Palmer Jackson of Notre Dame won the individual title at 16-under par.
Junior Jack Mortell and redshirt sophomore Jack Herceg both finished tied for 38th at three-under par. Mortell shot a one-under par 71 in the final round and Herceg shot a two-under par 70.
Senior Jack Katarincic's three-under par round of 69 was the best round of the day for Miami. Katarincic finished in a tie for 53rd at two-over par. Freshman Danny Fisher finished tied for 65th following a round of 74.
The RedHawks will be back in action November 1-3 when they travel to Paradise Island, Bahamas for the White Sands Intercollegiate.
