Golf Opens the Season at the Northern Intercollegiate

SUGAR GROVE, Ill. - The Miami University golf team will open the fall season at the Northern Intercollegiate hosted by Northern Illinois University. This will be the first time in five years that Miami has competed there.

The Northern Intercollegiate will be held on the par-72, 7,281-yard course at Rich Harvest Farms.

Miami will compete against Augusta, Aurora, Coastal Carolina, Grand Canyon, Marquette, Michigan, Missouri, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Toledo, UMKC, Wisconsin, and the host NIU.

"The golf course has undergone some changes in the last five years since we were there last," said head coach Zac Zedrick. "It will be a little bit more open and a little bit more playable."

The RedHawks will bring redshirt senior Brian Ohr, junior Cam Solomon, sophomore Charlie Nikitas, sophomore Jack Mortell, and true freshman Jack Ebner.

Miami will play 36 holes on Saturday and have a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. They will finish up with 18 holes on Sunday also with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. Live scoring, courtesy of Golfstat, can be found here.
