DAYTON, Ohio - The Miami University men's basketball team gets another shot at one of its local rivals as it travels to Wright State Wednesday. Tip time is 7 p.m. from the Nutter Center and it will air live on ESPN+.

DOUBLE-DIGIT ASSISTS FOR RINGO: Senior guard Darrian Ringo had a season-high 12 assists in the win over Wilberforce on Saturday. Always looking to get his teammates involved, it is the eighth time he was recorded double-digit assists in his Miami career, and it is his second highest single-game total. Ringo's Miami high for assists came on Nov. 29, 2017 when he had 14 against Midway. He currently leads the MAC with 5.9 assists per game.

OTHERS SHARING THE BALL TOO: Ringo's prowess for sharing the ball is rubbing off on his teammates as well. The rest of the team accounts for 62 of the RedHawks' 109 total assists, or 56.9 percent of the total. Last year, Ringo had 236 assists, while the rest of Miami had only 217 or 47.9 percent of the total.

ABRAMS HAS HUGE DAY ON BOARDS: Getting his first career start, redshirt senior forward Aleks Abrams finished with seven points and 14 rebounds on Saturday. Performances like that one are why Miami brought him in as a graduate transfer from Cal Poly. The 14 rebounds were the second-most he has brought in during his college career. Abrams had a career-high 18 caroms for the Mustangs against Cal State Northridge last season on Feb. 22, 2018.

ABOUT WRIGHT STATE: Coming off a Horizon League Tournament title and a NCAA Tournament appearance, the Raiders are 4-4 this season and have won all four of their games at the Nutter Center. Last week they defeated Cedarville, 58-49, on Tuesday before falling on the road at Indiana State, 69-63, on Saturday. Sophomore center Loudon Love has been the star for Wright State, averaging a double-double of 15.0 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. Junior forward Bill Wampler, a transfer from Drake, is the Raiders' leading scorer at 15.3 points per game.

THE SERIES WITH WRIGHT STATE: Miami holds a 20-13 lead in the all-time series with Wright State. The RedHawks won the last meeting between the two schools, a 73-67 overtime victory on Nov. 14, 2017. Down eight with four minutes to go, Miami went on a 10-2 run to force the game into overtime. Rod Mills, Jr. hit a pair of big three-pointers at the beginning of the extra frame to help lead Miami to the win. Nike Sibande led the 'Hawks with 17 points.

MIAMI VS. HORIZON LEAGUE: The Horizon League is made up of 10 schools in the same geographical footprint as the MAC. Despite the close proximity, Miami's history against the conference is fairly limited with the exception of Wright State. All-time, the RedHawks are 37-19 all-time against the current members of the Horizon League. In addition to its 20-13 record against the Raiders, Miami is 5-0 vs. Cleveland State, 2-0 vs. UIC, 4-1 vs. IUPUI, 2-0 vs. Oakland, 2-1 vs. Milwaukee, 2-3 vs. Green Bay and 0-1 vs. Northern Kentucky. The RedHawks have never played Detroit or Youngstown State.

UP AHEAD: Miami returns home to welcome Purdue Fort Wayne to Millett Hall on Saturday. Tip time is 2 p.m. and it will air live on ESPN+ with an audio broadcast available on Miami College Sports Live from IMG College.
