LAST TIME OUT: The Red & White opened the 2018-19 home schedule with a 60-44 win against Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday, Nov. 13. While Miami led the entire game, Eastern Kentucky kept battling to bring the game within two at the end of the third quarter. The RedHawks' offense pulled away during the fourth quarter, scoring 18 points, while the defense buckled down to only allow four points in the final 10 minutes of play. Lauren Dickerson led Miami with 19 points with Abbey Hoff reaching double digits off of the bench. Savannah Kluesner led the RedHawks with nine rebounds and Leah Purvis had five steals. The Red & White capitalized on Eastern Kentucky's turnovers, scoring 18 points off of these turnovers. Miami's scoring was also assisted by 25 points off the bench.

ABOUT DETROIT MERCY: The Titans (1-2) won their season opener against Michigan-Dearborn by a 68-60 margin before dropping their next two contests at Ohio State (41-55) and at Loyola (43-52). Sophomore forward Lexey Tobel (14 ppg), junior guard/forward Zoey Oatis (11 ppg) and Brittney Jackson (10.7 ppg) are all averaging double digits to start the season. Tobel leads Detroit Mercy with 10 assists. Freshman starter Paige Bellman leads the Titans in rebounding, averaging 9.7 rebounds per game.
