Last Week: Miami (9-11-2, 4-7-1-0 NCHC) suffered its first NCHC series sweep of the year at the hands of Omaha over the weekend. Friday saw UNO and MU combine for a league record 18 goals as despite matching a season high with seven, Miami was on the short end of a wild 11-7 decision (Recap). After a scoreless first period on Saturday, the Mavericks netted four second period tallies to grab a 4-0 lead after 40 minutes. The RedHawks rallied as Phil Knies scored twice for the second-straight game and Josh Melnick also found the net to pull them within 4-3 with 2:32 remaining. Despite the uptick in pressure, that was as close as Miami would get in dropping the series finale 4-3 (Recap). This Week: Miami is idle until Jan. 26 when it opens a series at Colorado College.

MU got off to a strong start and led after one quarter of play. However, the Red & White would go cold from the field as the Eagles walked away with a 74-59 victory (Recap).
