Biebelhausen closed out his Miami career with a bang. The senior captured his first career MAC title by claiming the 1500m with a time of 3:47.97. He also placed sixth in the 5000m with a time of 15:03.71. The 11 points he scored helped Miami post its second-straight fifth-place finish at the MAC Outdoor Championships.
This is the first time this season and in his career that Biebelhausen has been named Miami's Male Athlete of the Week.
Jimson-Miller rewrote a couple record books in her final conference meet. Friday saw Jimson-Miller set a new personal best in the 100m hurdle prelims by clocking 13.41. She followed that up by winning her first conference title with a school and meet record time of 13.26. Ranked 73rd in the region in the 100m hurdles entering the weekend, Jimson-Miller's performance bumped her up to 20th, locking her into next weekend's NCAA East Region Preliminary meet.
This is the first time this season and second time in her career that Jimson-Miller has been named Miami's Female Athlete of the Week. She last won it for the week of May 11-17, 2015.
The Miami Athletes of the Week award will return next fall for the 2017-18 season.
