NASHPORT, Ohio ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢'¬" Led by 54-hole individual leader Patrick Flavin, the Miami University golf team is tied for fourth after three rounds of the Mid-American Conference Championship on Saturday. The RedHawks shot a team score of three-over par 291 in the third round and are now at 24-over par for the event. Kent State continues to lead at four-under par.
Flavin shot a five-under par 67 on Saturday, the best round by any golfer so far at this championship. He is now at nine-under for the tournament and is two shots in front of Gisli Sveinbergsson of Kent State going into the final round.
Freshman Cam Solomon had the best round of his career with a one-under par 71. He is now tied for 20th at nine-over par. After shooting a 75, redshirt sophomore Brian Ohr is one shot behind in a tie for 23rd at 10-over par.
Senior Greg Conrad shot a 78 on Saturday and is 36th overall at 15-over par. Redshirt freshman JD Fletcher is 45th at 28-over par after a third round score of 81.
The MAC Championship concludes with the final round on Sunday. The RedHawks will tee off between 8:35 and 9:15 a.m.
