Boule, Nelson Named Miami Athletes of the Week

For their performances last week, Mia Boule and Liam Nelson are Miami's Athletes of the Week, presented by Skyline Chili for the week of May 11.
Female Winner: Mia Boule
Mia Boule took second place in pole vault with a mark of 4.20m at the IU Billy Hayes Invite. This vault is the Miami school record, the leading mark in the MAC and 44th-best vault in the nation. Boule is from Yorkville, Ill., she is studying Kinesiology in the College of Education, Health and Society.
Male Winner: Liam Nelson
Liam Nelson became the first RedHawk since 2003 to claim individual medalist honors at the MAC Championships, helping lead Miami to its first team title since 2015. This marked the first time since 1996 that the Red and White swept both the team and individual titles. Nelson (70-76-71=217) capped off a stellar tournament and his third victory of the 2025-26 season with an even-par final-round to clinch the individual title by a single stroke, finishing at four-over-par through three rounds.  A sophomore from Chicago, Ill., he is majoring in Finance in the Farmer School of Business.
