McLane had a career best performance in Miami's victory over Central Michigan on Saturday. He scored a career-high 29 points and just missed a double-double with eight rebounds. He also had four assists and two steals in 34 minutes of action. McLane finished 11-for-15 from the field in the win. He also contributed seven points, four rebounds and two assists despite foul trouble against Western Michigan on Wednesday.
This is the first time this season and in his career that McLane has been named Miami's Male Athlete of the Week.
McCoy was the main catalyst in a 2-0 week for the RedHawks. She nearly averaged a double-double with 17.0 points per game and 9.5 rebounds per contest. On Wednesday against Akron, she recorded her second double-double in the last five games with 14 points and 10 rebounds, the latter of which tied her career high. On Saturday at EMU, she set a new career high in points with 20, and finished one rebound shy of another double-double as she collected nine boards.
This is the second time this season and in her career that McCoy has been named Miami's Female Athlete of the Week. She previously won it for the week of Jan. 2-8.
The next Miami Athletes of the Week will be announced on Monday, Feb. 20.
