Feb. 9, 2016 Dade City, Florida - The Miami University golf team placed third at the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play following a 4-2 victory over Toledo on Tuesday. The RedHawks advanced to the third place game after defeating Ohio before falling to Eastern Michigan on Monday.
The 'Hawks jumped out to an early lead with a 4 & 3 win by sophomore Patrick Flavin over Toledo's Otto Black. Junior Greg Conrad then secured a 4 & 3 victory over Spencer Shoemaker. Redshirt freshman Brian Ohr picked up his second win of the tournament, finishing 3-Up on Thomas Shindler to put the RedHawks ahead 3-0 over the Rockets.
Shortly after, senior Daniel Schwarz finished all-square with Cameron Mills. Senior Bud Radis dropped a hard-fought match with Colin Joseph after picking up two match wins on Monday. Senior Jack Sparling rounded out the day earning half a point after finishing all-square with Stephen Watts and solidifying third place for the Red and White.

The RedHawks are off until Monday, March 7 when they travel to Bluffton, N.C., to participate in the Colleton River Classic.
