Full Day of MU Basketball Set for Saturday

OXFORD, Ohio—As the Miami University men’s and women’s basketball teams host a doubleheader at Millett Hall on Saturday, Jan. 10, there are plenty of deals for fans to take advantage of and exciting entertainment set for Saturday’s games.
The RedHawk women’s team hosts Buffalo at 3 p.m. with the Miami men clashing with Eastern Michigan at 5:30 p.m. The women’s program is also hosting its alumnae day and will recognize alumnae in attendance during the first game.
Saturday is Paws 4 A Cause, where items to benefit local animal shelters are being requested for donation. Fans will receive $2 off each ticket per two items donated. Items needed are: Dog Food, Cat Food, Paper Towels, Hand Sanitizer, Blankets, PetSmart Gift Certificates, Garbage Bags, Dog Treats, Cat Treats, Cat Litter, Liquid Dish Soap, Liquid Laundry Detergent, Dog Beds, Copy Paper, Unscented Bleach, Mops, Brooms, Dustpans, Glass Cleaner, Hand Soap.
As part of the Paws 4 A Cause day, the K9 Crew Disc Dogs will perform at halftime of both the women’s and men’s games. The K9 Crew has been featured on a variety of shows and in several major newspapers and also has performed at numerous professional and college games. (Video)
Between the games, there will be a Carnival on the Concourse for kids with face painting, balloon animals and the bounce house.
Saturday also is a McFamily and Friends day, and fans have the opportunity to purchase four general admission tickets with four McDonald’s extra value meal vouchers at a price of just $30. This is a pre-purchase offer only and is not available for purchase at the gate and excludes the Paws for A Cause discount.
