2026 Hall of Fame Class Announced
Miami University Athletics will recognize one team and seven worthy and deserving candidates in its Hall of Fame Class of 2026. This year's Hall of Fame Class is Stephanie Danesis (tennis), Bea Dechant (field hockey), Patrick Flavin (golf), Ron Harper (men's basketball), Mary Haskell O'Leary (administration), Andy Miele (ice hockey) and Kelsey Vehr (women's swimming). Miami is also inducting the 2006-07 skating team, just the second team in school history to make the Miami Hall of Fame. The 2026 class will be celebrated the weekend of September 25-26. Miami Student-Athletes Earn 3.35 GPA in Spring Semester
Miami University student-athletes produced an impressive spring 2026 semester in the classroom, combining for a 3.35 spring GPA. This marks the 43rd-straight semester for the RedHawks with a collective GPA of 3.0 or higher. In all, more than three-fourths of Miami student-athletes (77.6%) earned a term GPA of 3.0 or higher. That number includes 64 RedHawks across 16 different teams who posted 4.0 GPAs this semester.

Byers And Mazzalupi Receive Medal of Excellence Award
The Mid-American Conference announced its annual Medal of Excellence Award winners, and Miami's Carson Byers (baseball) and Riley Mazzalupi (field hockey) are among the honorees who will be recognized during the 2026 Honors Dinner Ceremony in Cleveland on Thursday, May 28. The Medal of Excellence is presented annually to one male and one female student-athlete from the graduating class of each of the 13 Conference member institutions.

Six RedHawks to Represent Miami at East First Round
Six RedHawks will represent Miami at the East First Round of the 2026 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Lexington, Ky., this week (May 28-30). Miami's qualifying athletes include Mia Boule, Ella Garvin, Kate Hallie, Tom Heal, Anton Martinez and Petros Sanchez Ropero.

Miami Baseball landed seven on the All-MAC teams. Head Coach Brian Smiley was tabbed MAC Coach of the Year, while Tommy Harrison was named MAC Player of the Year and Diego Cruz was selected MAC Freshman of the Year. The RedHawks ended their season with losses to Northern Illinois and Kent State in the MAC Tournament.
Miami Golf completed their season, finishing 13th at the NCAA Bryan Regional last week. Cameron Pero led the RedHawks in 39th place.
Miami Soccer announced their 2026 schedule, which includes a Sept. 6 home match-up with LSU.
