Four RedHawk Swimmers & Divers in MAC Finals

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Miami University will have two swimmers and two divers in tonight's finals of the 2013 Mid-American Men's Swimming and Diving Championships in Carbondale, Ill.
Senior Alex Reinhardt had the fifth-best time of the 500-yard freestyle prelims Thursday morning (4:26.87). He is a two-time MAC individual titlist in that event (2010 and '11).
Sophomore Joe Baumgartner's 20.66 time in the 50-yard free was just 21/100ths of a second slower than the prelim's best time.
Senior divers Mike Grainger (327.80) and Chris Hoppler (300.35) had the fourth- and fifth-best scores of the one-meter prelims. They'll compete in the finals Thursday night.
Miami's consolation finalists include freshmen Chris Dieter (4:34.19) and Sean Neri (4:34.63) in the 500 free, Sam Crockett (1:51.87) and Andy Kilkenny (1:52.35) in the 200 individual medley, freshman Jake Prodoehl (20.99) in the 50 free, and freshman Michael Nash (288.65) in the one-meter diving .
Finals for those events plus the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard medley relay take place Thursday night at 7 p.m. CT.
