Vote for Miami's All-Time CCHA Team

OXFORD, Ohio - As Miami gets ready to begin its 32nd and final season in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, Miami Hockey is giving fans the chance to reflect on some of their past favorite Miami stars from the CCHA era and is asking them to help select Miami's All-Time CCHA Team. With four CCHA Players of the Year, 21 First-Team All-CCHA recognitions, 28 All-CCHA players, 10 All-Tournament Team honorees and 14 CCHA specialty award winners, narrowing the field to just 12 players is no easy task.
Fans will select a team for each decade Miami was a member of the CCHA, starting with the 1980s (1981-89), as Miami joined the CCHA for the 1981-82 season. A 1990s team (1990-99) and a 2000-2013 team will also be chosen with both a first team and second team being announced for each decade team. From each of the three all-decade teams, fans will then vote on Miami's All-Time CCHA Team (both a first and second team).
Voting for the 1980s All-CCHA Team begins today, Tuesday, Oct. 2 and will run through Sunday, Oct. 21. The first and second teams for the 1980s will be revealed on Tuesday, Oct. 23. Because both a first and second team will be announced, six forwards, four defensemen and two goaltenders should be selected from the ballot. One ballot per email address, please. Players listed on the ballot played at least one year in the CCHA and were chosen for the ballot based on fitting one of the following categories: award winner, team captain, annual statistical leader or member of the 100-point club. If a player played in two decades, they will be eligible for the decade in which they played the majority of their career.
Following the 1980s team voting, the 1990s team ballot will be available beginning Tuesday, Oct. 30. Below is a complete schedule of voting for Miami's All-Time CCHA Team (subject to change), culminating with Miami's All-Time CCHA Team being revealed throughout the month of February.
