Miami Hockey Announces Addition of Austin Baker

OXFORD, Ohio— Miami Hockey head coach Anthony Noreen announced today that Austin Baker will join the RedHawks' program ahead of the 2026-27 season. Baker, a forward from White Lake, Mich., spent last season with Michigan State University.

Austin Baker, 6-0, 190, Forward, White Lake, Mich./Sioux Falls (USHL)/Michigan State
PRIOR TO MIAMI
- Played in 14 games for Michigan State last season, producing one assist
- Was selected in the seventh round of the 2024 NHL Draft by the Detroit Red Wings (No. 203 overall)
- Collected 31 points (10-21-31) with Sioux Falls Stampede in 2024-25, serving as alternate captain
- Played in the U.S. National Team Development Program from 2022-24
- Registered 31 points (15-16-31) with the U.S. National U18 team in 2023-24 and 14 points (10-4-14) with the USNTDP in the USHL that same year
- Won medals with Team USA at the IIHF U18 World Championship, the World Junior A Challenge and the World U17 Hockey Challenge
- Participated in the 2024 All-American Prospects Game
