Miami Head Coach Charlie Coles
On leading for much of the first half: "I thought we played a great 16 minutes in the first half. I thought we put ourselves in position to make a real ball game out of it and maybe even win."
On Miami's defense: "I think in the first half we were able to rebound and make some shots and they weren't making a lot of shots themselves. The second half, except for the rebounds, was pretty good. They shot 39 percent. If they only shot 39 percent and we rebound the basketball, then I will take that on defense against the Bearcats. But the problem was they got 16 offensive rebounds."
On Cincinnati's team: "I think they're a Top 25 team now. If there are 24 teams better than them, I'd like to see them. I think they're a tournament team."
Dion Dixon
On leading the Cincinnati comeback: "They had the crowd behind them, so I just said I need to pick it up and be more aggressive. We came out a little sluggish so I started to be real aggressive. We just picked up the intensity on the defensive end and the offense took care of itself."
Ibrahima Thomas
On his double-double: "It means more to me that we're undefeated, the fact that we're winning. We don't care about the stats."
On Miami's defense: "They're a very good team, a good defensive team. They came into the game clogging up the paint, boxing us out, making sure that we take long three's. And as the game went along we kept running our offense and wearing them down."
Mick Cronin
On being behind in the first half: "If I could have drawn it up, I would have drawn it up the way we won, to get down and then come back and win, just to be in that experience on the road. The thing I was most proud of is the guys never panicked."
On the keys to winning the game: "You get so many more shots than your opponent when you take care of the ball. We were plus seven in turnovers and we were plus 11 on the offensive glass. That's 18 possessions, 18 extra shots. You're going to win the game if you get that."
