Red and White Series Continues This Weekend

OXFORD, Ohio -- The annual Red and White Series for Miami Baseball continues this weekend with games Thursday, Friday and Saturday at McKie Field at Hayden Park. The Red team won both games last weekend to lead the series 2-0.
Action resumes Thursday afternoon at 3:30 with a game at the same time on Friday. Saturday's action begins at 1 p.m.
Here are recaps of the first two games in the series:
Game One -- Red 4, White 3
Kyle Weldon delivered a game-winning double and had an earlier RBI single to lead the Red team to victory in its final at-bat. Bryce Redeker scored three runs after a hit and three walks.
Bryan Beaver was 2-for-3 with two runs batted in to lead the White team. Kevin Bower, Willis and Adam Weisenberger each had pair of singles, while Bowles had a double
On the mound, Sam Dawes earned the win by pitching the ninth, while Brandon Adkins took the loss.
Game Two -- Red 5, White 4
Crummy and Ryan Brenner each registered three hit and an RBI to lead the Red to its second straight victory. Pat Glass added and RBI triple, while Brad Gschwind, Walsh and Redeker all delivered run-scoring singles.
Bower led the White team with a 2-for-5, RBI performance, while Crea delivered a two-run single. Beaver, Makuch, Jon Edgington and Weisenburger each added a hit.
Ryan Meyers gained the win with 2.1 innings of work, while Dawes got the save. Brown took the loss for the White.
