Miami Claims Third Straight, 7-5 over Northeastern

ORLANDO, Fla. - Miami baseball grabbed its third consecutive win on Saturday with a 7-5 victory over Northeastern in Orlando, Fla., at Chain of Lakes Stadium.
Tommy Nurre (Cincinnati, Ohio) homered in his second consecutive game and Adam Eaton (Springfield, Ohio) drove in three. Matt Erwood (Atlanta, Ga.) picked up the win going 5.0 innings and giving up three earned runs.
Miami took the lead in the second as Eaton drove in two, the RedHawks added another run in the fourth but Northeastern rallied for two in the bottom of the third to make the score, 3-2. The Red and White added a run in the fourth and on in the fifth but Northeastern would not go quietly scored twice in the bottom of the sixth to make the score, 5-4.
The RedHawks put the game away in the seventh with RBI's from Zak Hatfield (Front Wayne, Ind.) and Brad Gschwind (Cincinnati, Ohio).
Miami will be back in action tomorrow, in Orlando, taking on Bucknell at 3 p.m. at Chain of Lakes #1.
