POST-GAME QUOTES -Bowling Green at Miami, March 9, 2008
Interim Miami Coach Jermaine Henderson
"This was a perfect way to end the regular season. In Charlie's absence, the young guys have really stepped up. You know who's going to get the points for us, but those young guys just don't get enough credit for what they add to our game."
(On Charlie Coles' absence) "As I've said before, I'm not sure I'm going to be a great coach, but Charlie has prepared me to be in this position. Coach is Miami. You do get a little more confidence as time passes. I'm pleased that our players have accepted my voice."
(On heading into the MAC Tournament) "I think we feel good. We've already seen who we're going to play, so there won't be any surprises. I've told the guys to enjoy it. A year ago, we were going into the tournament off two tough losses, and this year we've been playing fairly well at the end of the season. We're the defending MAC Tournament Champions, so we've got to be ready."
Miami's Tim Pollitz
(about kissing the RedHawk in the middle of the floor upon leaving for the final time) "I've been thinking all week about doing that. I'm really going to miss this place. When you put four years of your life in practicing and playing games for a school, you'll always have that that in your memory."
"We have some momentum going into the tournament. Throw the records of the MAC regular season out. It's still our title that we're trying to defend, and I feel good about our chances."
Bowling Green Coach Louis Orr
"To God be the Glory. I thank him for the lessons he provided me with through the year."
"Michael Bramos is a difference maker. We didn't have to face him the first time we played Miami, so the zone was good to us. This time, he hit some big threes early and got them off to a bit start. Then you add Tim Pollitz inside and they're as tough a team as anyone in the MAC to defend.. No runs better offensively in the half court than Miami."
