POST-GAME NOTES - December 13, 2008
Valparaiso (3-6) at Miami (6-3)
- The game, which was scheduled for 4 p.m., did not tip off until 5:09 p.m. due to the women's basketball against Butler going to double overtime. The RedHawks lost 86-81 after overcoming a 14-point second half deficit to get to the extra frame.
- Kenny Hayes started after missing the previous game with a wrist injury. He finished with four assists in 20 minute of action.
- Michael Bramos finished with 28 points, his fourth straight 20+ point effort and fifth this season. It was his second highest total of the season.
- Bramos collected one blocked shot, he needs two more to tie for third with Kevin Beard's 109 on Miami's all-time list.
- Bramos hit six three-point baskets against Valpo, which gave him 162 for his career. That moved him into fifth on the all-time career list, passing Juby Johnson (2001-04) who finished with 160 for his career.
- Bramos six three-point baskets was the fourth consecutive game that he has hit at least six treys.
- Bramos and Eric Pollitz teamed up for Miami's first 13 points, Bramos scoring eight and Pollitz tossing in five, as Miami took a 13-5 lead.
- Pollitz scored a season-high 11 points on 4-for-8 shooting. It was one off his career high of 12 set on Jan. 5, 2008 at Akron.
- Miami took a 29-26 lead into halftime, it was the sixth consecutive game that the RedHawks led at halftime.
- The RedHawks shot 48.4 percent for the game (21-for-43), the second highest total of the season. The best shooting performance was on Dec. 6 against Northwestern State when Miami shot 50.8 percent (30-for-59).
