FAIRBORN, Ohio (AP) -- Todd Brown's 3-pointer as time expired gave Wright State its only lead of the game and a 58-57 win over Miami Saturday night.

Troy Tabler scored 14 points and Jordan Pleiman had 13 for the Raiders (4-3), who overcame a 16-point halftime deficit partly by making a 14-3 run in the second half to cut Miami's lead to 53-51 with five minutes to play.

The Raiders stayed close and tied it at 55 on Vaughn Duggins' two free throws with 1:47 left. Miami's Kenny Hayes then made a jumper with five seconds left to put the RedHawks up by two.

But Wright State stormed down the court and Brown got his winning shot off before the buzzer.

Miami (4-4) looked ready to cruise in the first half, shooting close to 74 percent and making six of nine 3-pointers. But the RedHawks shot just 23.8 percent in the second.

Tim Pollitz led Miami with 15 points.

Miami returns home to host Chicago State at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18.

NOTES:
The game was a tale of two halves for the RedHawks. Scoring 44 first-half points, Miami had its best offensive half of the season, topping its 40 points in the second half against Indiana State in its last game. The RedHawks' 73.9 percent shooting in the first half also was a season-high. The second half was Miami's lowest offensive output of the season with 13 points, seven points off the previous low of 20 points in the second half against USC.

Limiting Wright State to 58 points Miami posted its 42nd consecutive game holding an opponent under 70 points, which is the nations longest active streak. The RedHawks have held opponents under 60 points five times this season.

Junior center Tyler Dierkers was sidelined due to illness, while the RedHawks were without the services of junior forward/guard Michael Bramos for several minutes late in the second half due to an injury. Bramos returned with 2:34 to play and finished out the game.

Miami hit one more total field goal and two more three pointers and shot 50 percent from the field, 43.8 percent from 3-point range and 75 percent from the free-throw line compared to Wright State's 43.8 percent from the field, 29.4 percent from 3-point range and 52.4 percent from the free-throw line. The difference was at the free-throw line where the RedHawks went 6-of-8 and the Raiders were 11-of-21.

Junior guard Eric Pollitz tied a career high with eight points and played a career-high 28 minutes, while junior guard Isiah Carson scored a season-high of eight points and played a season-high 17 minutes.

Miami's four losses have come by a combined nine points and two have been by one point on last-second baskets.
