HUNTINGTON, W.Va.--Marshall University proved too much to handle Friday afternoon, as Miami University's women's tennis team (12-6; 3-2 MAC) fell to the No. 67 ranked Thundering Herd, 7-0, at the Brian Davis Fox Tennis Center.
The RedHawks fell behind quickly in doubles, dropping all three matches and winning no more than three games in any one match. In singles play, the Red and White succumbed in straight sets in all but one match. Remy Swain (Louisville, Ky./duPont Manual) made it a fight at No. 6 singles but fell 10-8 in the tiebreaker.
Miami, which has played its last nine matches away from home, returns home for its final four regular-season contests, beginning with an April 15 contest versus Akron.
