Five RedHawks Named Academic All-MAC

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced the selection of 27 student-athletes to the 2025 Women's Tennis Academic All-MAC Team on Friday. The Miami RedHawks led all eight MAC teams this year with five student-athletes, followed by Buffalo, Eastern Michigan and Northern Illinois with four representatives each.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests scheduled or completed in the particular sport. First-year students and ANY transfer students in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award. Outstanding academic and athletic accomplishments for the current season only are considered.

In addition, three RedHawks were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team including Catherine Denysiewicz-Slowek, Sarah Dev, and Emilia Valentinsson. Denysiewicz-Slowek was also selected as an CSC Academic All-America finalist and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.
