OXFORD, Ohio (AP) - Duane Lightfoot scored 16 points as Butler beat Miami University 59-42 Saturday night.
The Bulldogs (7-0) never trailed after taking a 6-4 lead with 14:45 to play in the first half. They held the RedHawks (3-5) to 6-for-23 shooting in the first half, including 0-for-7 on 3-pointers. Butler shot 10-for-20 in the first half.
The Bulldogs held a 13-10 lead with 8:32 to play in the first half, but closed the half on a 15-6 run to take control.
The RedHawks shot 16-for-46 for the game and 2-for-13 on 3-pointers. Butler shot 22-for-45 overall and 9-for-19 on 3-pointers.
Danny Horace led Miami with 10 points. Darnell Archey had 12 points for Butler.
