WILMINGTON, N.C. (AP) - Despite an 11-point, 14-rebound double-double from freshman forward Danny Horace, Miami University's men's basketball team fell at UNC Wilmington, 50-42.
Brett Blizzard led the Seahawks with a game-best 23 points, while Craig Callahan added 12 points and seven rebounds for UNC Wilmington (1-1).
In addition to Horace's double-double, in which he was 5-for-17 shooting, Doug Davis tossed in nine points for the RedHawks, who fall to 0-1. Davis hit just 4 of 17 shots before fouling out with 35 seconds left. Within the first minute of the second half Alex Shorts fouled out of the contest leaving the RedHawks without the services of their top returning scorer.
