Four RedHawks Named to All-MAC Teams

Forward Andrea Cunningham (Cincinnati, Ohio/McAuley) and defender Tonja Weimer (Vandalia, Ohio/Vandalia Butler) were named to the all-MAC first-team.
For Cunningham, this is her second season to be named to an all-MAC team. Last year as a freshman, she was named to the all-MAC second-team. Weimer joins Cunningham as a two-time all-MAC honoree. Weimer was also named to the all-MAC second team last season.
Forward Danielle Berkemeier (Fairfield, Ohio/Fairfield) and midfielder Shaedyn Cousino were honored Thursday evening with all-MAC second-team honors. Berkemeier and Cousino were both on last year's all-MAC first-team as freshmen.
Eastern Michigan defender Tracy Deeter was awarded the 2000 MAC Player of the Year. This is the second consecutive season a player from Eastern Michigan was honored as the top player in the conference. Last year, Eastern Michigan goalkeeper Sarah Willis was given the award.
Marshall forward Amanda McMahon was named MAC Newcomer of the Year, while Buffalo coach Jean-A Tassy was named Coach of the Year for guiding his Bulls to the MAC regular season championship.
The MAC semifinals kick off today in Buffalo with Bowling Green taking on Western Michigan at 12:15 p.m. Miami takes on Buffalo in the second semifinal game at 5 p.m.
