Forwards Todd Grant (New Palestine, Ind./Danville Wings), A.J. Greco (Williamsville, N.Y./St Michael's Buzzards) and Vince Pulera (Kenosha, Wis./Shattuck St. Mary's) along with defenseman Joe Pomaranksi (Gurnee, Ill./U.S. National Team Under-18 Development Program) comprise Blasi's second recruiting class. According to Blasi, the incoming class should meld easily with the current team.
"I'm very pleased with the four individuals we've signed," Blasi said. "We've added skilled players who compliment the personnel we already have on the team. They fit nicely into our future plans."
Grant, a 6-foot, 180 pound forward, is recognized as a skilled forward who is effective in front of the net. The 6-foot-2, 195 pound Greco, another skilled forward, is expected to add muscle up front for the RedHawks. Pulera, at 5-foot-10, 175 pounds, is known as a speedster with a good finishing touch that should bolster the team speed. The lone defenseman signed, Pomaranski, a 6-foot-2 200 pounder, is expected to provide steady defense along with the ability to score.
The four signees join an already young Miami team that currently dresses 14 freshmen and sophomores.
