COACH JOFFE[apos]S COMMENTS: 'Lauren is hardworking, down-to-earth, smart and passionate about her tennis and class work. She has improved her tennis considerably in a short time and will be relied upon to give leadership to a strong, yet young, RedHawk squad.'
2007-08: Did not see action in dual match play ... played in the Ball State Invitational ... posted a 1-1 mark in the Flight D bracket ... won the consolation bracket in Flight D Doubles at the Ball State Invitational with Ashley Young.
2006-07: Did not see action in dual match play ... went 3-3 in singles play during the fall, including a 2-1 mark at the Ball State Invitational ... went 2-2 in fall doubles action.
HIGH SCHOOL: Three-sport athlete at Reitz Memorial High School who served as team captain of both the tennis and volleyball teams ... a four-time all-conference and all-district selection ... tabbed as an all-state selection twice ... helped the Tigers to four sectional titles, two regional championships and two semi-state titles ... Reitz Memorial finished fourth in the state in 2004 and 2nd in 2005 ... coached by Dr. John Reid ... also lettered in soccer and volleyball.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Candice and Greg Hofmann ... turns 21 in July 2008 ... majoring in marketing ... father played football and basketball at Evansville ... sister, Catherine, plays golf at North Carolina ... a cousin to the Mattingly family that includes former New York Yankee Don Mattingly.
