Biography

After exhausting her three years of eligibility (per NCAA rules) at Miami from 2007-09, Eva Candia will remain a part of the RedHawks program, serving as a student assistant coach for the 2010 season while finishing up her undergraduate degree. The native of Sweden was a midfielder for Miami, playing in 50 career games with two starts while serving as team co-captain in 2009, when the RedHawks made the MAC Tournament championship game. Candia scored two goals and added a pair of assists during her career.

2009: Co-captain ... played in 15 games totaling 416 minutes of playing time ... scored lone goal of season Oct. 4 in a win over Bowling Green ... took just two shots all year, putting them both on goal, while patrolling the midfield ... finished with two points ... played a season-high 48 minutes Oct. 9 at Eastern Michigan.

2008: Saw action in 17 of 19 games, with her only start coming Sep. 14 at Louisville ... tallied her only goal, the first of her career, Oct. 24 at Northern Illinois, which turned out to be the game winner ... dished out lone assist of the season Oct. 26 at Western Michigan ... totaled three points on the year ... fired six shots, including a season-high two Oct. 5 vs. Buffalo, with two landing on goal ... totaled 633 minutes of game time with a season-high 62 coming in the game against Louisville.

2007: Played in 18 games, starting once ... recorded one assist from her midfielder position ... Lone assist came in 3-2 win versus Central Michigan ... put seven shots on goal as a freshman ... started against Eastern Michigan on Sept. 28.
