2020-21: Member of collegiate team … competitive season not contested due to COVID-19 pandemic.
2019-20: Skated on the collegiate team … helped team finish in the top three of all six competitions, including first place in the first four outings … scored above 90 three times, including a season-high 100.32 at the Midwestern Championships (1/18) … won the Dr. Richard Porter Classic (12/8) with a score of 98.73) … finished third at the US Synchronized Skating Championships (2/29) with a score of 92.81.
2018-19: Skated on the collegiate team … captured program’s 19th national title with a season-high score of 104.68 at the US National Championships (3/1-2) … team finished first in all six competitions … scored 90 or higher four times … posted a score of 97.52 to win the Dr. Richard Porter Classic (11/30-12/2).
Before Miami: Earned four letters in track & Field and three more in field hockey, serving as a team captain in both sports … skated for Team Excel and Skating Club of Boston. Member of the national honor society … earned excellence in physical fitness award in field hockey and outstanding performance award in the pole vault.
Personal: Born Aug. 30, 2000 … parents are Carolyn and Renato Tortora … majoring in media & culture and sports leadership & management.
