2010-11
Earned CCHA Offensive Player of the Week honors twice (Oct. 25-Oct. 31 and Jan. 10-Jan. 16)...saw action in 38 games on the season, missing only the first game of the season against New Hampshire (Oct. 8)...led the CCHA in goals with 28...was third on the team in points with 54 points (28 goals and 26 assists)...notched five power-play goals, tied for the team lead with two short-handed goals and had three game-winning goals, tied for second on the team...scored a career-high three goals against Northern Michigan (Oct. 23)...had 18 multi-point games...led the team and the CCHA in plus/minus with a +27 rating and earned a +4 rating on two occasions (Oct. 23 vs. Northern Michigan and Oct. 29 vs. LSSU) ...served 18 minutes on nine penalties...named to All-Florida College Classic Team...voted first team all-CCHA...named to the CCHA all-Tournament Team...College Hockey News Second-Team All-America...INCH Third-Team All-America.

2009-10
One of six RedHawks -- and the only freshman -- to play in all 44 games, marking the first time a Miami freshman has played in every game since the 2007-08 season... recorded 20 points with eight goals (most among freshmen) and 12 assists... tallied his first career point on an assist against St. Cloud State (Oct. 10) in just his second collegiate game... scored his first two career goals against Michigan (Nov. 7), with one coming on the power play, his only of the year... tied that career high with two more scores at Bowling Green on Feb. 13... recorded his first three-point game, with two goals and one assist, against North Dakota (Nov. 28)... registered six multi-point games on the season, including two assists vs. Ohio State Feb. 26 and against the Buckeyes March 12... scored his first career game-winning goal against Alaska (Jan. 23)... had a +10 rating on the season.

Named team Most Valuable Player for St. Michael's in 2008-09... was second on the team with 75 points (27 goals, 48 assists)... also played in 2007-08... participated in the CJHL All-Star Game... served as both captain and assistant captain during his high school career.

Son of Lester and Diedre Smith... one brother played hockey at Wisconsin, while another plays with the Orlando (formerly New York) Titans of the National Lacrosse League... a sport studies major.
