2011: Played in all 12 games as Miami's primary punter ... punted 56 times for an average of 39.1 yards, with a long of 66 yards ... booted seven punts of 50+ yards and landed 13 inside the 20-yard line.
2010: A third-team All-MAC selection as a redshirt freshman ... he punted 59 times and averaged 39.1 yards per kick, including a season-long 66-yarder at Buffalo ... in that game against the Bulls, Murphy averaged 56.7 yards on three punts ... 25 of his punts ended up as fair catches, 13 were downed inside the 20-yard line and four were touchbacks ... originally a walk-on, he was awarded a scholarship in mid August.
